NaNoWriMo 2015 | FINAL WEEK!

Previous Updates: Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4
NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month which takes place in the month of November. The goal is to write a total of 50,000 words by the end of the month. It isn't really about writing a complete and finished novel in a month, but more of a very very very rough draft.

Sunday November 29 and Monday November 30

Day Twenty Nine
I have to write 5,000 words today and 5,000 tomorrow in order to finish. I have to stop thinking so much and just write.
Words Written - 2,474
Total Words Written - 41,548

Day Thirty
Like previous days I wrote a lot of this right after midnight. I also had done some free writes through out the month by hand that I typed up and added which helped. Also, had some notes when I couldn't get to a computer and added those in.
Words Written - 8,514
Total Words Written - 50,062

WRAP UP
This was a crazy month. So much happened outside of NaNoWriMo that kept pulling me away which lead to me doubting myself. It's the first time I have ever attempted to write a complete story/novel. Although I don't have a complete novel I'm so glad I stuck through it and have 50,000 words to show for it. The story is far from done and I'm going to stick with it through revisions.
For now I'm going to take a little break from writing and get back to reading. As much fun as this was I've missed reading. It was hard to get reading in with all the writing going on. Now it's time to work on that Goodreads Challenge.

  1. Congrats for hitting the goal! As it was my first time this year it was a struggle p, but I'm so happy with what I accomplished.

    1. It was the same for me last year. Plus it was my last year of college, so I was more focused on that than on NaNoWriMo. I think no matter your final word count all that matters is that you made it your goal to write everyday in November.

  2. Did you just write 8k on ONE DAY. WHAT. I am impressed. I was going to do NaNoWrimo, but it ended up not happening because November is apparently the time for papers and exams and all that fun stuff! But CONGRATS ON COMPLETING NANO! Is this your first time doing Nano/accomplishing 50k?

I'm assuming you have a post about what your NaNo was about? I will need to find it later :)

    1. I was so determined to hit the final word count, but it wasn't all in one sitting. A good chunk of that should probably go with the day before. I stayed up writing about 2,500 words more. I don't think I could have written 8,000 in one shot.
This is my first time hitting 50k. Last year was my first year attempting it, but I only got 10k.
