TOP TEN TUESDAY: Books I Want To See Made Into Movies

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.
This week is a FREEBIE! I chose to do the Top Ten Books I Want To See Made Into Movies. This has been a topic before on Top Ten Tuesday. but I wasn't around for it.

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
I love everything I've read by Rainbow Rowell, but this was my favorite of her books. I would be completely on board with Chris Pratt as Lincoln.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
This includes all three books.

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
It would take some incredible actors to pull off this story.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
It would be amazing to see this world portrayed.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
My main reason for this one is because I'd love to see who would be chosen to play Celaena.

Cinder / The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
If you've read this book then you'll understand. The world and the characters would be such a cool movie.

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
The romance, the characters, the world...so much that I want to see!

To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
One of my favorite YA contemporaries, because of the characters. I'd love to see them portrayed on screen. I wanted this to happen even more after watching Yulin Kuang's I Didn't Write This episode of To All The Boys. You can watch that here.

Half Bad by Sally Green
Another amazing world that I'd love to see portrayed.

Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples
This would be one crazy, action-packed, epic movie.

    1. Thank you! I was going to pick just one of Stephanie Perkin's books, but I couldn't choose just one.

  2. Throne of Glass would be such a good movie! Whoever played Caelaena would have a big role to fill. I feel like Stephanie Perkin's books would also make great romantic comedies.

    1. I feel like a lot of these characters need some strong actors to play them. Especially since so many people would be expecting so much from them.

  3. I would LOVE to see a Throne of Glass or Shadows and Bones movie, as the worlds are so richly imagined.

    1. Aside from the characters, the worlds in those books are what made me fall in love with the stories.

  5. Ok, so I pretty much want to see all of these made into movies now, too. But if I had to choose, I'd go with Attachments, Anna and the French Kiss and Shatter Me. Maybe Cinder, if I can be greedy. :)

    1. I forgot that Shatter Me was in the works in becoming a television show. I really hope Attachments gets made into a movie at some point. It's not her most popular book, so it would be a little harder, but I hope eventually it does happen.

  6. I'm not a massive fan of book to movie adaptations, but there should totally be a To All the Boys I've Loved Before—it would be such a cute rom-com!

    1. I can see what you mean. When I hear that one of my favorite books is getting made into a movie or tv show i get a little nervous. It's rare that they get it right. I almost prefer books not be made into movies if they aren't going to be done right.

  7. Anna And The French Kiss would make an amazing film! It would be adorable! I'd love to see the costumes and sets for Cinder and Throne of Glass too! They could be amazing. I still need to read Throne of Glass though. Do you prefer to have read the book before seeing the film or are you not fussed?

I didn't like Shatter Me but I can see how it could be a good film :)

    Good choice of topic!
    Happy Reading

    1. Thank you! I don't really mind seeing the movie before reading the book. If I can I will definitely try to read the book first, but it's not a big deal if I don't. I actually had forgotten that Shatter Me is in the works in becoming a tv show.

    1. Thank you! Contemporaries are a little easier to adapt into film, because there aren't so many specifics to get right, so I would love if they did eventually!

  9. Throne of Glass was on my list of adaptations I'd like to see made when I did this topic.

  10. Definitely Cinder and Throne of Glass. (I'm super excited for the possibility of a ToG tv show!)
I have yet to read Shadow and Bone, though it has been recommended to me many times, but by the looks of it I'm sure it would make a great movie!

As soon as I read your comment I had to go and google Throne of Glass television show. I didn't even know about that! I really hope it happens!

  11. I LOVE Attachments! I never thought about Chris Pratt as Lincoln, but I could see that! I also think The Lunar Chronicles would be amazing on screen. I heard that the Shatter Me series and Throne of Glass are both optioned for tv shows. I don't really care about Throne of Glass, but I'm excited/nervous about Shatter Me!
